Will new high-tech clothing become our new skin that needs re-covered -with more clothes, "cloaking," or V.R.?

Considering the quantum leaps of the technological revolution from the 20th century I think 100 years from now a lot could be possible. Especially since the development of new technology only seems to be speeding up rather than slowing down. Perhaps in the future suck synthetic skins will be availible. I know the show "That's impossible" on history channel had a segment about the possibilities of cloaking. It seems that cloaking devices of some sort will be a reality at least for military applications.
