If i purchase a ViP222 dual HD receiver from dish network?

can the primary tv be an HD and the secondary tv be a flat panel lcd non hd tv. Will I be ale to view all the same content just with out the quality. The receiver fact sheet says one has to be HDTV the other SDTV. what is SDTV exactly and do I have one? My flat panel lcd is a VeiwSonic N2010
