Drug seized property??/?

Recently, a man down the road got arrested for drugs. He had alot so they are saying he will get 20 years to life... They also said they were going to seize his house... well, I want it! does anyone know how that works.. where would I begin to look? Will it be auctioned on the courthouse steps or what? The Sheriff's department were the ones who arrested him- if that helps.
