Can i sue somebody if she is "bad-mouthing" and saying profanity and foul language at me? what exactly do I do?
First off what you are asking about is called a "defamation" claim. Just as it is written..someone is trying to "de-fame" your name. This kind of legal battle is available, but expensive and used primarily in situations where someone's character is so harmed that he/she is no longer able to continue his/her business, politics, and life. It's not worth the cost unless you are ready for war that covers a spectrum that could make you look pretty bad too. My suggestion...close the accounts on facebook, twitter, etc., Reopen and re-establish your accounts under a new name and know that the less emotional and more removed you get, the less power she will have over you. Is this person worth a trip from Israel to the Philippines? You answer that...my guess is a big fat no! Sounds like she has a trust issue that is really related to her husband...not you.
